Wednesday Night Singles Golf Party - 40+
When: Wednesday, August 8, 2007
An after-work golf league for 40+ adult singles Every Wednesday at Mira Vista Golf Course at Lowry. Weekly mixer teams two men and two women to play in a “scramble” format. Registration starts at 5:30 p.m., first tee time at 6:00 p.m. 10 week sessions cost $25 + $19 weekly fee includes the green fee, snacks and prizes. Sessions are April 11-June 12 and June 27-August 31.
Beginners are welcome. Four players compete as a team with all contributing. All players hit their drives, select the best ball and all hit their next shots from there. One person in each team will be a Golf Host, an experienced golfer who will help others with playing tips etiquette and rules.
Following the nine-hole play there will be a party with music on the outdoor deck overlooking the course. “Mulligan Mixers” In golf jargon, a mulligan denotes taking a second shot without penalty after the first effort failed.
